Cellar Massimago

Camilla Rossi Chauvenet is the young enterpreneur that produces one of the most beloved and esteemed Italian wines in the world: Amarone della Valpolicella. The wine company that she manages , Massimago, is linked to Cracco family since 1883.
The name has a Latin etymology (Maximum Agium) that refers to the richness of history and biodiversity of Mezzane di Sotto’s territory, where the ancient noble house that hosts the wine company is located.
With its ruby red colour, Amarone di Massimago is made from a blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella. The vineyards of this variety have an age between 25 and 60 years old and they grow at 350 metres on the sea level.
